When you sign in with Google, we receive:

Your name and email address
Your Google profile picture
A unique Google account identifier

We use this information solely for authentication and to identify you within family groups you belong to.

Family Data

You may upload or contribute family history content including genealogical records, photographs, documents, and stories. This data is stored securely and is only accessible to members of the family groups it belongs to, unless explicitly marked as public by a family administrator.

How We Use Your Information

To authenticate your identity and manage access to family groups
To provide AI-powered features such as chat, story generation, and document analysis using Google Gemini and other AI services
To generate text-to-speech audio and avatar interactions

Content you provide may be sent to third-party AI services (Google Gemini, ElevenLabs, Simli) to power these features. We do not use your data to train AI models.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your data is shared only with:

Google Cloud Platform (hosting and infrastructure)
AI service providers (Google Gemini, ElevenLabs, Simli) as needed to provide app features

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Google Cloud Platform with industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control, and regular security reviews.

Your Rights

You may:

Request access to the personal data we hold about you
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Revoke Google sign-in access at any time via your Google Account settings

Cookies

We use a single session cookie for authentication purposes. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
